Write an essay in which you define and explain what the concept of “identity” means to you. Can identity be seen through multiple perspectives? Are there social, economic, or cultural issues involved separately or collectively? Does family or mental illness influence a person’s identity?

You must refer to and quote from at least two of these texts to illustrate your definition of “identity” for your essay.
Remember, your unique definition of “identity”(with contextual evidence)is your thesis for this essay, so it must be well supported. As you formulate your own idea of “identity” feel free not only to agree but also to disagree with ideas in the texts that you are referencing and quoting.
